The gift giving season is coming and I suspect a number of lawyers will soon be sporting new iPads. I’m often asked by lawyers with a new iPad “What apps should I get?” While the best app for you depends a great deal on what you want to accomplish, there are some basic recommendations.
For the next few
days weeks, I’ll be doing a series profiling the apps (and in a few cases, online services) that I recommend that all lawyers consider in order to turn a stock iPad into a very serviceable work rig. For many of the apps, I’ll note my personal favorite and a few alternatives as well. I’ll look at the following categories:
- File Storage and Access
- PDF Annotation
- Microsoft Word and Excel Compatibility
- File Management and Use
- Remote Desktop Connection
First up, File Storage and Access. See you next time!
